Commissioning Work

The process of commissioning a painting is an interesting give and take, requiring clarity of communication. Where does the client's vision end and the artist's interpretation begin? What is the subject, the size, the time-frame and the cost? Will the painting be a pastel, oil, acrylic or mixed media?
